I don't feel it's fair to have a review posted here by a reviewer who didn't even post under the correct product! Also, this reviewer states they got constant use for THREE YEARS out of this product. Exactly how long is a product supposed to last? I saw the product the original reviewer posted on (model number 55-2000) has a 90 day parts and one year frame warranty. This machine lasted 2 years longer than the stated warranty. And, 2 years out of warranty and this reviewer wishes to have a part sent, for free, to keep an *existing customer* happy?!?! Sheesh, talk about wanting something for nothing.

These products are under warranty for a year for a reason. The manufacturers don't expect them to last any longer.

I've had Stamina products and they've worked well for me. Check reviews for other Stamina Elliptical here on Amazon. You can also check other reviews on the web. I am not a spokesperson for Stamina nor do I work for them. I just came across this persons review and it ticks me off when people do something they don't know how to do... like post a factual, unbiased review for the CORRECT product.

Reviewer: R. Simcheck,
This review pertains to model number 55-2000, but should be reflected upon during consideration of any of Stamina's products.

After 3 years of normal use, the crank on the left pedal sheared off from where it connected to the pedal rail. This occurred while I was using it, but thankfully I was not injured during the incident.

Just to be clear, the crank itself snapped into two pieces. It did not come loose due to faulty assembly.

I weigh approximately 225 lbs, which is under the recommended limit of 250 lbs.

I was told by Customer Service that parts were only covered for 90 days and I would have to pay to replace the crank. They could've made more of an effort to keep an existing customer happy since this COULD have resulted in an injury, but Stamina did not seem to see it that way.

I was not filled with confidence concerning the quality of the machine based on my experience after only 3 years of use, so I declined their offer and purchased a recumbent bike from Schwinn.

However, I will give it two stars because it did perform well for 3 years. Hopefully, the newer models are built a little better.
