overall an 'average' machine. i wish i had spent a bit more and gone with another model. i chose this one for the size/weight (i live in a pre-civil war built house with low ceilings and it had to go on 2nd floor so i couldn't have a heavy product) and the price was good. i was up in the air between another model offered on amazon, and now i have buyer's regret. the paper instructions were vague and poorly diagramed. the online video assembly guide was a bit better but i had to work off the two to figure out how the machine assembled. took me two weeks (soloing it and no 'guy' around to help me) and usually i put things together no problem--just...the directions were severely lacking.

once assembled, it works 'fine' (honestly tho it runs more like the tony little gazelle not an elliptical persay)...but squeeks and creeks and clanks a lot. so...definitely not a quiet machine. within 1 week of moderate use, the bolt holding the connection of leg to body clanked off, so be ready to tighten after every go :(

yeah, i wish i had spent more money and gone with something else. it's ok if you want something cheap and impermanent : /

I received this item in perfect condition over 2 weeks ago and so far it's a good buy. The instructions might be a little cumbersome but I would just direct you guys to the Masai website for the video or YouTube.
I've lost over 4 pounds in those 2 weeks alone, granted that I do around 650 calories per day!
The machine does give you a good workout and everything seems nice as long as you plug in the chords to the computer right and as long as the nuts and bolts are well secured.
I've been having somewhat of a squeaqy issue with the main pedals and no amount of lubricant seems to solve the matter and it's not really a major issue.
The machine tends to wobble if youre not on a flat surface and if youre extremely tall like 6'3" and up I would not recommend this for you. You can buy for an extra $30 dollars, a mat so that the surface of the floor can be even and there is no wobble.
For the price is right and if you apply yourselve you can lose weigh as I did!
