Product Description

Bring the gym into your home and enjoy an efficient, high-caliber workout with the Horizon E700 elliptical trainer. Perfect for rigorous training routines, the E700 is outfitted with a 20-level magnetic brake resistance system and a heavy 14-pound flywheel. The brake system creates more consistent resistance during a workout, while the flywheel carries you through the complete elliptical motion, making the trainer feel extremely natural and not at all choppy. In addition, the trainer offers 12 goal-oriented programs to keep you motivated: three weight loss programs, three cardio stride programs, three power stride programs, a manual program, and two custom workout programs. As a result, you can achieve positive results regardless of your fitness goals. And thanks to Horizon's eTrak technology--which is designed to capture important workout data for a pair of users--it's possible to analyze your current and previous workouts and track your weekly and monthly goals directly through the console.

The E700's console makes it easy to track your workout progress.
The E700 is also designed for ergonomic comfort, with such features as an 18-inch stride length, pivoting foot plates, and no-slip footpads. The stride and pedal system help you mimic your natural running or walking stride, making you more comfortable and reducing your recovery time. And a more natural, ergonomic movement means less stress on your knees, hips, and lowers back, so you enjoy longer workouts and faster results.

Other features include a low step-on height that makes even first-time elliptical users more confident; an MP3 player input and built-in speakers for listening to your favorite workout playlist; four yellow and green LED windows; and contact heart rate grips.

About Elliptical Trainers
Elliptical trainers represent the next wave of advancement in low-impact cardiovascular exercise machines and continue to grow in popularity. By simulating motions experienced through walking, stepping, cycling, and skiing, elliptical machines allow for a smooth and fluid motion while building strength in the arms and legs. Similar to the exercise position for treadmills, elliptical trainers are used by standing in an upright position while holding the handrails of the machine. With elliptical trainers, however, your feet remain in the foot pedals throughout the exercise regimen and circulate in a smooth and seamless motion, resulting in little to no impact on the knees, back, and hips.

Elliptical trainers are compatible for all ages and fitness levels and allow you to select the difficulty level through the incline and intensity settings. Additionally, elliptical trainers allow you to determine the complexity of your workout based on your needs, all while listening to music, watching television, or reading a magazine while exercising in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Many elliptical trainers include an array of challenging programs, forward and reverse directional movement, EKG grip pulse handles, a lightweight portable design with easy fold-up capability, and a monitor displaying calories burned, distance, speed, time, and heart rate. Other types of exercise machines, namely treadmills and bikes, offer excellent cardiovascular exercise and muscular training for the legs in a forward-motion exercise. Elliptical trainers take this to the next level by offering an upper and lower body workout with dual motion, challenging and diverse programs, and a low-impact exercise machine that won't strain sensitive joints.

user comment Horizon Fitness E700 Elliptical Trainer Get What You Pay For

Review Date: March 18, 2009
Reviewer: T. S. Chabuz, Boston
It's a good machine. I have had the machine for one month and it's Spartan; however, it serves it purpose. It was advertised as a $1200 machine discounted "just for today" for 699. Well, I would be very unhappy with this machine if I paid the 1200. Moreover, at 699 or was it 599, it is a good machine. It has limited "bells and whistles." It's made in China and sturdy. It should give me five years of use or so I expect, then I can feel amortised and replace it.

If your Ruebenesque and need excersise, buy it. If your a jock, move on.

user comment Horizon Fitness E700 Elliptical Trainer Works well but HUGE

Review Date: June 20, 2009
Reviewer: Doglets, SC
I had no idea this would be as big as it is. It's like something you'd use in a gym or fitness center. Very functional, smooth and was extremely easy to assemble, due to the step by step instructions that were very clear. I like using it, but it takes up a lot of space.
user comment Horizon Fitness E700 Elliptical Trainer Success is not just over the horizon

Review Date: February 15, 2009
Reviewer: J. T. Frazier Jr., Hell, MI
Horizon Fitness can make some nice workout eqipment, but this one has its flaws. The overall product feels cheaply made, from the very short stride length to the plastic control panel it just simply does not feel worth the price. If you are a taller individual then I strongly suggest trying out the ellipticals before buying based on price. With cheaper models I have found that they often have a shorter stride length, which gives you less of an overall workout compared to a longer stride model i.e higher end nordic track which are in the same class. The overall stability of the product is also in question. When I was using this product I felt like it would take little effort to make it tipsy. Try this one out and I think you will agree.

Product Description

Get the body you want without spending untold months at the gym with the Image 7.8 elliptical trainer. The Image 7.8, which is small enough to fit in a den or rec room, is loaded with convenient features, including attached elliptical arms that help tone your upper body, digital resistance controls, and several preprogrammed workouts. The unit is built around a smooth, frictionless Silent Magnetic Resistance (SMR) system that lets you adjust your intensity without interrupting your workout. If you don't want to set your own pace, you can turn to the eight personal trainer workouts, which automatically adjust the trainer's resistance levels to focus on aerobic, weight loss, or performance goals, or the two heart rate workouts, which help you stay in your target workout zone. The upper-body arms are perhaps the most convenient feature, however, as they help you burn more calories and add muscle tone.

Other details include a large LCD workout display that tracks your speed, time, distance, calories burned, and pulse; a large 7 x 10 workout matrix that offers a visual representation of your workout; and a dual-grip heart rate monitor with pulse sensors built into the handlebars. The Image 7.8, which measures 60 by 46.8 by 20 inches (W x H x D), is backed by a 90-day warranty.

Ok trainer for the price, but if you need a replacement part after your warranty runs out, plan on paying a ridiculous amount of money for even the smallest items.
